An intricate masterpiece designed by Stevens Lawson Architects, this home strikes a perfect balance between openness and definition. The main living spaces are open-plan, yet each area is thoughtfully distinguished, creating a harmonious flow throughout.
The fireplace surround, crafted from rich oak veneer, gracefully rises into the tapering ceiling, while the couch seamlessly flows into the design, wrapping around to support the balustrade along the staircase. This fluidity of form unites the elements in a cohesive, elegant manner.
The kitchen is a study in minimalist detailing, with push-to-open doors and drawers that eliminate the need for handles, maintaining a sleek and streamlined aesthetic. An integrated fridge and freezer, adorned with full-height solid oak handles on one end of the back wall, mirror a similar design on the opposite side, where a bar area is concealed behind bi-folding doors. At the end of the kitchen, a full-height oak-panelled wall, painted in a soft white to keep it from overwhelming the space, is wire-brushed to enhance the natural grain and introduce a subtle texture.
Behind this oak panelling, a hidden scullery/pantry area and additional storage cupboards offer practicality while maintaining the kitchen's clean lines.
The kitchen island is a striking feature, with a monolithic slab of Taj Mahal quartzite, meticulously cut with exceptional angles and mitres. At one end, the stone narrows to create a space for seating, adding both functionality and visual interest.
Across from the kitchen, a small study area, crafted from oak, complements the rest of the home’s refined aesthetic.
