The vision that Ponting Fitzgerald had for this residence could only be trusted to Form Design to execute with precision. The luxurious finishings and premium materials required true craftsmanship to manufacture this complete fitout.
In the kitchen, floor-to-ceiling cabinetry sits behind an impressive island wrapped entirely in Carrara marble. The bookmatched marble was manufactured in six individual pieces, due to its 5m length – getting the measurements right for the stovetop and sinks was paramount.
Working closely with the builders, Form Design had a narrow tolerance for the negative detailing, and also needed to allow for a tapered ceiling.
There were also a number of custom made pieces of furniture for this residence. The hero was the main dining table, designed by Form Design with the client. The turned table legs were over accentuated to deliver a modernist take on a Victorian table. The frame is reinforced with steel to accommodate a long and heavy top.
